I got into programming through Minecraft modding — I've built and maintained mods since 2025 that have crossed 800,000 combined downloads on Modrinth. That's taught me more about writing real, maintained software than any tutorial did: shipping something, fixing what breaks, and keeping it working as the game itself updates around you.
Because "looks basic, isn't" felt more like me than a template gradient hero section. Everyone's portfolio has a slick component library behind it. This one's plain HTML, CSS, and JS — and it still does more than most of them. That gap is kind of the point.
